Overview

SpicyChat Share ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that generates shareable PNG images from SpicyChat.ai conversations. This page describes what data the Extension accesses and exactly how it is handled.

Data we do not collect

The Extension does not:

• Collect, record, or transmit any chat messages or conversation content
• Collect any personally identifiable information
• Send any data to external servers or third parties
• Use cookies, analytics, or tracking of any kind
• Store any information beyond your own local user preferences

What the Extension accesses

• Page content on spicychat.ai — The Extension reads the chat DOM on spicychat.ai/chat/* pages in order to detect message rows and inject share buttons. This is read-only access. No text is extracted beyond what is needed to render the image you explicitly request by clicking the share button.
• Avatar images — Bot and user profile images are fetched from spicychat.ai solely to draw them onto an off-screen browser Canvas. They are not stored, cached persistently, or forwarded anywhere.
• Your clipboard — Written to only when you click a share button, and only with the PNG image you just generated. The Extension never reads your clipboard.

Local storage

The Extension uses chrome.storage.local to remember your output preferences (clipboard copy, file download, or both). This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

Third parties

The Extension has no backend server, no analytics service, and no third-party integrations. The only network requests the Extension triggers are the avatar image loads already initiated by the SpicyChat page you are viewing.

Permissions used

• storage — saves your output preferences locally on your device
• clipboardWrite — writes the generated image to your clipboard when you click share
• host access to spicychat.ai — required to inject share buttons into chat pages and load avatar images for rendering

Children's privacy

This Extension does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including minors. It collects no personal data from any user.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
